The GAH assist with the psychosocial development of its residents by implementing a Self-sufficiency program that caters to both able-bodied and physically challenged residents. The program is tailored to compliment the varied interests and skill sets of the residents. It also examines the potential areas for training and development that can be utilized in order for the residents to actively participate in new programs of their interest.
The SSP involves goal setting, mentoring and financial incentives to empower residents in making positive life changes. Some of the activities as a part of this program include the following:
A number of crops are planted. Some of these include: Callallo, Pak-Choy, Tomatoes and other vegetables

Residents are also engage in various forms of artwork as well as tailoring and dressmaking
The Golden Age Home provides Dental Services to our Residents through partnership with the Univertsity of the West Indies Dental Program.
At the GAH we believe that physical therapy is an important tool in promoting the longevity of our residents. We therefore provide physical therapy services for all residents (as recommended by our Medical Doctor or Physiotherapist).
Residents participating in Sporting Competitions
The GAH has a very active Spiritual Program. Individuals from various churches and denominations (some of which the residents are already affiliated with) engage in worship sessions with our residents to enhance their spiritual growth.
